Embedded Software Engineer (W2 ONLY And AI Experience Required)

Our client is searching for an Embedded Software Developer for a temp-to-perm position that can be remote. ***All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis and no sponsorship is available now or in the future*** ***All candidates must have professional experience providing embedded software development using Linux, C++, and Python*** Candidates must have experience building and adopting AI-assisted engineering workflows —agent-driven tooling and autonomous engineering processes — that measurably improve software quality and engineering velocity. Duties: • Design, develop, and maintain the engineering tools and infrastructure supporting embedded Linux development. • Build and optimize automated firmware build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, recovery, and release pipelines. • Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing. • Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the software development lifecycle. • Partner with firmware, hardware, and QA engineers to solve complex technical challenges and continuously improve engineering processes. All candidates must submit to a drug and background check. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
