Our client is a well-established consulting firm specializing in actuarial services and supplementary pension consulting. As a leading player in the Belgian market, the firm advises pension funds, national companies, and international organizations on the management, funding, and optimization of their pension schemes.
To support its continued growth and the expansion of its project portfolio, our client is looking to recruit an experienced EB Actuary to join its Brussels-based team.

Employee Benefits Actuary | The role:
As an EB Actuary, you will manage a portfolio of clients primarily composed of pension funds and large corporate organizations.
You will act as a trusted advisor on actuarial, regulatory, and strategic pension matters while contributing to the development of innovative solutions and the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
Actuarial Consulting
- Manage the actuarial aspects of several pension funds and retirement schemes.
- Perform actuarial valuations, funding analyses, and prepare technical reports.
- Produce accounting calculations and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/IAS standards.
- Assess the actuarial impact of regulatory changes and pension plan amendments.
Strategic Advisory
- Advise clients on pension scheme funding mechanisms and financing strategies.
- Participate in ALM studies, risk assessments, and funding analyses.
- Support the design, implementation, and modification of pension plans.
- Contribute to complex projects including mergers & acquisitions, the Belgian 80% rule, corporate restructurings, and regulatory changes.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your client portfolio.
- Build long-term relationships based on trust and expertise.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Contribute to the development of new consulting assignments and business opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to optimize actuarial processes and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of new tools and best practices.
- Share your expertise with colleagues and mentor junior team members.
Employee Benefits Actuary | Your profile:
- Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics or other relevant fields.
- 4 to 8 years of actuarial experience, ideally within pension funds, employee benefits, or actuarial consulting in equivalent expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian pension schemes, IFRS/IAS accounting standards, and pension funding principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical mindset.
- Client-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-organized, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge.
- Professional proficiency in both French and Dutch is essential.
