About the role: As an Energy Credit Specialist based in Adelaide, you'll manage a range of credit and collections matters end-to-end – from hardship and disputes through to complex accounts – using sound, fair judgement to reach the right outcome for customers and for Origin. You'll also act as a source of subject matter expertise for our Energy Specialist teams, and play a part in shaping how we continuously improve support for customers experiencing financial difficulty. You'll be a first point of support for customers doing it tough – helping them navigate hardship, disputes and complex situations with fairness and respect. Your judgement calls directly shape whether customers get outcomes that are fair, compliant and commercially sound. You'll act as a first line of defence in helping Origin meet its compliance and regulatory obligations. You'll support our Energy Specialist teams as a subject matter expert, strengthening the wider customer experience. Your feedback and ideas directly shape how we improve credit and collections processes for customers and the team. You'll be part of a close-knit, autonomous team that has each other's back through complex and sensitive conversations. What will you bring? Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within credit, collections or another regulated environment – transferable experience from other industries is just as welcome as would hardship and case management aligned experience Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable adapting your approach across phone, email and digital channels. Confidence assessing situations and making balanced, fair decisions, even without a clear-cut answer. A practical, solutions-focused mindset and genuine care about getting the right outcome for customers. A collaborative approach – you're comfortable sharing insights and supporting your team. Openness to learning and adapting as the role and our systems evolve – a bachelor's degree or credit compliance experience is a bonus, not essential. So, why join us?
