Location : New Brunswick, NJ (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Eligibility: Must reside in New Jersey and be authorized to work in the United States About the Role We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Energy Engineer, Data Analytics & CRM to support the delivery of commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs throughout New Jersey. This position combines energy engineering expertise with advanced data analysis skills to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of energy efficiency program data. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean energy, enjoys working with large datasets, and has experience using CRM and reporting systems to drive data quality and program insights. In this role, you will collaborate with program managers, utility clients, and cross-functional teams to validate savings calculations, improve reporting processes, and support the successful implementation of energy efficiency programs. What You'll Do: Data Analysis & Quality Assurance Analyze large datasets related to energy efficiency programs, projects, and portfolios. Review project and measure-level data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with program requirements. Validate energy savings calculations against established technical methodologies and industry standards. Identify and investigate data anomalies, outliers, and inconsistencies and implement corrective actions. Develop, maintain, and analyze exception reports to proactively identify missing documentation, duplicate submissions, and out-of-range values. Support program forecasting, production tracking, and goal attainment analysis. CRM & Data Management Maintain and reconcile project information across multiple CRM and data management platforms. Execute data queries and generate reports to support program performance monitoring. Identify and resolve cross-system discrepancies to ensure accurate and consistent program records. Document data collection, quality control, and tracking procedures. Technical & Program Support Research state and federal energy efficiency codes, regulations, and program requirements. Evaluate energy efficiency measures using technical reference materials and program guidelines. Support program evaluation activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Review program documentation and provide quality assurance feedback. Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and utility clients. Collaborate with program managers and client teams to fulfill reporting and information requests. Who you are: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems. Knowledge of energy efficiency programs, building systems, and energy-saving technologies. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel throughout New Jersey. Must be a New Jersey resident. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. Familiarity with the New Jersey Technical Resource Manual (TRM). Experience performing energy savings calculations, energy modeling, or utility rate analysis. Experience with relational databases, SQL, Visual Basic, or similar programming languages. Knowledge of state and federal energy efficiency policies and regulations. Experience conducting commercial and industrial energy assessments or inspections. Understanding of building science, HVAC, electrical, building envelope, and weatherization technologies. Incoming Growth Units: 10 Growth Unit allotment may increase over time. Healthcare & Insurance: Eligible to participate in mcfa ’s family medical, dental and vision coverage; plan access begins on the first day of employment. mcfa contributes up to 75% shared cost, not to exceed $700 per month. Company paid life insurance plan (up to $100,000 per employee). Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.
