Engineer/Analyst- Healthcare

Help Shape the Future of Healthcare Operations St. Onge is seeking an Engineer/Analyst to join our growing Healthcare team. In this role, you'll help hospitals and healthcare systems optimize supply chain operations, sterile processing departments, logistics systems, and support service spaces that are critical to patient care. You'll work alongside experienced consultants and engineers to collect and analyze data, evaluate operational performance, design efficient processes and facility layouts, and develop solutions that improve healthcare delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in healthcare consulting, facility planning, and operations improvement. What You'll Do As a key member of our Healthcare team, you will: Collect, organize, and analyze client data using proprietary St. Onge healthcare tools and analytical methods Perform engineering analyses related to healthcare supply chain operations, sterile processing, logistics, and material handling systems Manipulate and evaluate data using databases, spreadsheets, and in-house software tools Develop facility layouts, staffing calculations, capital cost estimates, and alternative evaluations Create process flow maps and identify opportunities for operational improvement Communicate directly with clients during data collection and analysis efforts Develop presentations and communicate project findings to clients and project teams Assist in the preparation of final reports and other project deliverables Participate in client site visits, data collection activities, and project meetings Support the planning and design of hospitals, medical facilities, and centralized healthcare distribution and warehouse operations What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field 0-2 years of professional experience Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and operational excellence Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications Co-op, internship, or project experience in healthcare, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, consulting, or a related industry Experience conducting cost analysis, facility layout design, inventory analysis, or process improvement projects Exposure to hospital, healthcare, warehouse, or manufacturing environments Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus Why St. Onge? Most work is performed in an office environment; however, projects frequently include site visits within hospital and healthcare settings.
