Position Overview Mackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a motivated Part-Time Engineering Intern currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering to join our Pittsburgh office. This position offers flexible hours and exposure to a variety of engineering and consulting services while working closely with licensed professional engineers and project teams. Key Responsibilities Assist with engineering analysis, design, and planning tasks across multiple disciplines • Support the preparation of engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and documentation • Perform quantity takeoffs, data analysis, and basic engineering computations • Assist with drafting, modeling, and plan production using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software as applicable • Participate in field visits, inspections, surveys, and data collection as needed • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and attend internal and client meetings • Provide general project and administrative support as assigned Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Civil or related discipline preferred) • Completion of foundational engineering coursework preferred • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering software is a plus • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn What We Offer • Flexible part-time schedule compatible with academic commitments • Hands-on experience with real-world engineering and consulting projects • Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and project types
