We are looking for a hands-on
Engineering Manager
to join the Developer Experience domain. This role will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to lead technical direction, deliver high-quality software, manage a team of full stack engineers and improve developer tools, APIs and platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical direction across developer tools and developer experience initiatives.
Partner with Product to assess opportunities, shape priorities and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Manage, coach and develop a team of full stack engineers.
Own technical architecture, solution design and delivery within the team's domain.
Break down complex requirements into clear work items and guide the team through delivery.
Oversee end-to-end delivery from planning through to deployment, support and monitoring.
Identify risks, trade-offs and improvement opportunities early.
Improve team processes, engineering standards and ways of working.
Build a strong team culture based on ownership, autonomy, accountability and continuous improvement.
Support hiring decisions, team composition and capability development.
Skills and Experience Required
Strong experience with developer tools, developer experience and secure API development.
Proven background leading technical delivery in an agile engineering environment.
Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience managing and growing full stack engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of scalable software architecture, microservices and REST APIs.
Full stack development experience across frontend, backend, DevOps and test automation.
Experience with Docker, ECS, AWS serverless technologies and cloud-based platforms.
Database experience across NoSQL and relational systems.
Frontend experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed teams.
Experience managing people, performance and career development.
