Engineering Manager for a Leading Multinational

What You'll do: - Set technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems; - Validate designs, challenge technical decisions, and guide teams through complex trade-offs; - Ensure technical choices support business goals, scalability, and long-term sustainability; - Mentor senior engineers and foster technical growth across teams; - Lead, inspire, and develop engineering teams, driving engagement, performance, and career progression; - Own performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and talent retention; - Drive delivery execution through planning, sequencing, dependency, and risk management; - Maintain delivery focus and team cohesion in remote and hybrid environments; - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; - Act as the primary interface between engineering and business leadership; - Ensure technical priorities align with organizational and strategic goals; - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders; - Manage conflicting expectations and make informed trade-offs; - Contribute to organizational strategy with data-driven recommendations; - Hybrid work model; Who You Are: - 5+ years of backend experience with Java and Spring Boot; - Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems; - Strong system design rigor at large-scale engineering environments (e.g. Amazon/Google level); - Proven people management experience with a track record of building high-performing teams; - Experience balancing technical leadership with people leadership; - Strong business awareness and stakeholder management skills; - Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments; - Time zone flexibility to support remote collaboration with stakeholders; - Background or strong exposure to business or management; - Fluent in portuguese and english; What youll get: - Wage according to candidate's professional experience; - Remote Work whenever possible; - Delivery of work equipment adjusted to the performance of functions; - Benefits plan; - And others.
