English-Hungarian Language Lead - LLM/UI

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an English-Hungarian Tourism Translator – LLM/UI at GienTech. The translator will localize tourism-related content from English into Hungarian and from Hungarian into English, including website copy, app text, user interface elements, chat flows, and knowledge base articles. Day-to-day tasks include translating and adapting content for tourism platforms, reviewing machine-generated (LLM) translations, ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy, and maintaining consistent terminology and tone of voice. The role involves close collaboration with product, UX, and engineering teams to refine UI wording, test localized interfaces, and provide feedback on translation quality and user experience. The translator will also contribute to style guides and glossaries, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines while working independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional written translation, review, and QA tasks.
• Conduct proactive research on relevant tourism terminology and reference materials.
• Follow project instructions, style guides, and terminology requirements, and raise valid queries when necessary.
• Perform a final check to ensure accuracy, consistency, fluency, and to avoid low-level mistakes according to PM requirements.
• Implement client feedback and make necessary revisions when required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional English to Hungarian translation experience, with a solid background in the localization industry.
• Excellent Writing skills in both English and Hungarian, with attention to style, clarity, and audience-specific messaging.
• Familiarity with tourism industry terminology, concepts, and cultural nuances relevant to travel, hospitality, and destination marketing.
• Comfort working with LLM-based tools, CAT tools, or translation management systems, and ability to post-edit machine-generated content.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency in terminology, and ability to follow and help improve localization guidelines and glossaries.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines across multiple projects.
• Able to respond quickly and accept tasks with tight deadlines.
