Description Dragonfli Group is a cybersecurity and IT consulting firm providing services to federal agencies and Fortune 100 enterprises. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Dragonfli supports clients in securing mission-critical systems across on-site, hybrid, and fully remote environments. Dragonfli is seeking a tenured Enterprise / Solution Architect to support an M&A integration and application architecture blueprinting program for a large commercial enterprise in the management consulting industry. In this role, you will assess the current-state application, data, and integration landscapes of the organizations involved in a merger, acquisition, or divestiture, and build the target-state architecture blueprints, dependency views, and decision documentation needed to guide the integration or separation. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role: you should be senior enough to independently lead architecture discussions and advise client stakeholders, while also being comfortable personally producing the underlying analysis and artifacts. We're looking for architects with broad enterprise and solution architecture experience of approximately 8 or more years. This is a contract position involving a large commercial enterprise in the management consulting industry. Candidates with previous consulting or contracting experience are preferred. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required. If hired, all work related to this role must be performed within the continental U.S. Responsibilities: Lead current-state architecture assessments across the application, data, and integration landscapes of the organizations involved in an M&A transaction Define target-state application and integration architecture to guide post-merger integration or divestiture separation Translate business and program requirements into architecture principles, roadmaps, and implementation-ready recommendations under deal-driven timelines Develop architecture blueprints, dependency views, system inventories, and decision documentation to support integration or carve-out sequencing Coordinate across business leaders, program teams, functional SMEs, and technical teams to align on architecture decisions Facilitate client discussions and communicate architecture strategy clearly to both executive and technical audiences Personally produce architecture diagrams, analysis, and documentation as a hands-on individual contributor Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information and evolving priorities Requirements Must-Have 8+ years of enterprise and/or solution architecture experience Experience supporting M&A integration, carve-out, or divestiture programs, including application and data rationalization across two or more organizations Demonstrated experience spanning business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture — breadth over deep single-platform specialization Experience developing current-state assessments and target-state architecture roadmaps Strong stakeholder facilitation and communication skills across executive and technical audiences Comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor, personally producing architecture artifacts U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency; ability to perform all work within the continental United States Immediate or near-immediate availability Preferred / Nice-to-Have Prior experience at, or supporting, a Big 4 or large consulting-led transformation environment Experience with transition service agreements (TSAs) and Day 1 / Day 2 cutover planning Exposure to major ERP or enterprise platforms at an architecture level, without requiring deep specialization in any one Enterprise architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) or equivalent framework experience Experience producing architecture artifacts with standard EA tooling (e.g., ArchiMate, LeanIX, Ardoq, Visio) Skill(s) Technical Skills Enterprise Architecture Solution Architecture M&A / Divestiture IT Integration Application & Integration Architecture Current-State / Target-State Assessment Architecture Roadmapping Data & Systems Inventory Development Post-Merger Integration Planning Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) Architecture Diagramming & Documentation Tooling Soft Skills Executive and technical stakeholder facilitation Cross-functional coordination Clear written and verbal communication Comfort operating with ambiguity and incomplete information Self-directed, hands-on execution Strong client-facing presence Benefits Medical — Multiple POS health plan options including an HSA-compatible plan Dental — PPO coverage for preventive, basic, and major services Vision — Annual exam, frames, lenses, and contact lens allowance 401(k) — Employer match up to 5% of eligible compensation Long-Term Disability — 100% employer-paid coverage at 50% of pre-disability earnings Life Insurance & AD&D — 100% employer-paid coverage valued at $10,000 each PTO — 15–25 days annually based on tenure Paid Federal Holidays — All 11 federal holidays observed
