Enterprise Data Architect

CXC Global is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a modern enterprise data ecosystem. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on collaboration across technology and business teams. The successful candidate will establish enterprise-wide data architecture standards and help build a scalable cloud-based data platform that supports analytics, AI/ML, data governance, and business intelligence initiatives.

Duration: 6-Month Contract with Possibility of Extension

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Architecture

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework, including data domains, data flows, integration patterns, and governance standards.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, and best practices for data modeling, storage, access, security, and governance.
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance for data-related initiatives across enterprise applications and platforms.
• Develop scalable architecture patterns that support current and future business needs.

Data Platform Architecture

• Lead the architecture and design of a cloud-based data platform leveraging Azure and Databricks technologies.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, reliability, and readiness for enterprise analytics and AI/ML workloads.
• Partner closely with IT and engineering teams to translate architecture designs into production-ready solutions.
• Define integration architectures connecting key enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, PLM, and data management platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data product owners, and technology teams to gather requirements and align architecture decisions with organizational goals.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to data engineering, analytics, AI, and governance teams.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and recommend best-fit technologies and solutions.
• Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs), Proof of Value (POV) initiatives, and pilot programs to evaluate technology capabilities, scalability, and adoption.

Data Governance & Quality

• Design and incorporate data governance, metadata management, and data quality capabilities into the enterprise architecture.
• Define master data management strategies and architecture patterns across key business domains such as Customer, Product, and Supplier.
• Promote data consistency, lineage, stewardship, and compliance through scalable governance frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms leveraging Azure services and Databricks.
• Strong expertise integrating complex ERP and CRM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica for data integration, data quality, metadata management, and/or master data management.
• Demonstrated success building enterprise data architecture frameworks from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of cloud data architectures, data lakes, modern data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring and guiding data engineers, analysts, and architects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), Siemens Team Center X, STIBO MDM, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Background supporting manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or B2B technology organizations.
• Experience working within formal data governance programs.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Data Products, and domain-oriented architecture concepts.
• Understanding of Digital Thread and Digital Twin architecture principles.
• Cloud platform certifications and/or architecture certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or TOGAF.

What Success Looks Like

• Enterprise data architecture standards and frameworks are established, documented, and adopted across the organization.
• A scalable Azure and Databricks data platform is designed and actively progressing through implementation.
• Integration architecture is defined and aligned across major enterprise systems.
• Data governance, quality, and master data architecture standards are successfully embedded into the platform.
• Engineering and analytics teams consistently leverage established architectural standards and best practices.
