Environmental Advisor

WHAT IS ON OFFER Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join our team here in Liverpool, UK. Under the guidance of the Group H&S Manager, the Environmental Advisor will focus primarily on upholding the ISO 14001 certification for AHK North West Laboratories, with assistance from the existing H&S Team. Additionally, this position will contribute to the Company's Project Quartz initiative, which aims to develop and implement Group Environmental Procedures across Alfred H Knight's global operations. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Essential Ability to identify and engage stakeholders. Ability to influence positive change where required. Must be capable of adaptive problem solving and potential conflict resolution issues to ensure compliance. Understanding of UK Environmental legislation a requirement. Required Work Experience 5+ years in a HSE role, preferably within a similar industry. Responsibility for managing an EMS in a previous role. If internal, must show a broad understanding of Environmental risk assessment, Aspects & Impacts etc. Qualifications Lead Auditor certification for ISO standards would be an advantage. IOSH membership is standard, also EMA or equivalent qualification would be desirable but not essential. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Environmental-specific qualification. Travel The role may involve prospective travel as it progresses.
