Inviting bright minds An opportunity exists for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our National Site Solutions team working across all aspects of contaminated land management. The role will be based primarily in Newcastle but will support our broader client base across Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Sydney, NSW, WA and beyond. As a member of a national team, we will provide you with valuable experience working on a range of legacy industrial, fuel infrastructure, residential development and commercial sites, with ongoing exposure to specialist areas including risk assessment, emerging contaminants, hydrogeology, remediation planning and Auditing. About you As part of Ramboll you will work with a global group of experienced consultants in our Ramboll Environment and Health (REH) team. You will receive mentoring and support from senior staff (locally and overseas) and have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex and interesting projects. You will be: Values driven Performance and deadline oriented Focused on the safety of yourself and others A continuous learner who is energised by challenge, complexity and change Collaborative, inclusive and emotionally intelligent About the Position Your responsibilities in this role will include: Site based activity coordination and site team management; Commercial project management; Environmental data acquisition for surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapor and associated meteorology Preparation of contaminated land assessment reports Management of large data sources, including documenting data, recording observations and use of database, and digital and AI based data management tools; Developing a network with Ramboll specialists across Australia, APAC and globally. For this role, your starting points are: 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in contaminated land management or a closely related field. Willingness to coordinate and implement site work with regular travel within NSW (and occasionally interstate); Degree(s) in environmental science or engineering related discipline(s) Full drivers’ license Ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of our valued clients.
