Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Principal Trainer / Clinical Business Analyst to support the design, development, implementation, optimization, and training of enterprise clinical systems within a large healthcare environment. This position requires a strong combination of Epic expertise, workflow analysis, training development, stakeholder engagement, and business analysis capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess Epic Ambulatory certification along with TED 305 certification , experience creating engaging e-learning and digital training content, and a proven ability to translate clinical and operational requirements into effective workflow, system, and educational solutions. This role is approximately 80% remote and up to 20% onsite and may require onsite presence within 48 hours when needed. Assignment Details Contract opportunity with potential extensions Approximately 80% remote / 20% onsite Must be available to report onsite within 48 hours if required May require work outside of standard business hours based on project demands Key Responsibilities Lead the assessment, design, development, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems and associated training programs. Gather, analyze, and document business, clinical, operational, and training requirements. Partner with clinical stakeholders, operational leaders, IT teams, project managers, and consultants to support project initiatives. Develop and maintain detailed business, functional, technical, and training documentation. Create and deliver instructor-led training, e-learning modules, digital learning content, and educational resources. Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workgroups, and project meetings. Translate business needs into actionable system and workflow requirements. Collaborate with project managers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met. Support testing efforts including unit testing, integrated testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment validation. Develop training guides, release documentation, educational materials, and end-user support resources. Assist with application troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support activities. Communicate risks, concerns, and project impacts to stakeholders and leadership. Develop presentations and provide project status updates to leadership teams. Mentor junior analysts and training team members. Support organizational process improvement initiatives and best practice adoption. Requirements Required Qualifications Epic Ambulatory Principal Trainer experience. Epic Ambulatory Certification required. TED 305 Certification required. Experience with MST build and maintenance activities. Experience developing e-learning programs and digital training content. Ability to analyze clinical and operational workflows and translate findings into system and training solutions. Strong documentation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or enhancement projects. Experience facilitating training sessions for end users, clinicians, and operational teams. Preferred Qualifications Clinical background preferred. Experience supporting at least two full lifecycle Epic implementations. Additional Epic certifications highly preferred. Experience working in large healthcare organizations and complex clinical environments. Experience leading change management, training, and adoption initiatives. Education & Experience One of the following is required: Master's Degree or advanced clinical degree with two years of relevant clinical systems, healthcare technology, business analysis, information systems, analytics, or healthcare administration experience; or Bachelor's Degree with five years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred Experience 2-5+ years of experience supporting Epic EMR and/or other healthcare clinical applications.
