Description Position at PRN Physical Therapy Ergonomic Program Manager – San Jose, CA *Candidates must currently reside in the San Jose/San Fransico Bay Area or be willing to relocate to the area to be considered. Schedule: Full ‑ Time | Hybrid (Remote & On ‑ Site Client Visits) Compensation: $75,000 – $125,000 annually, plus benefits. Compensation is based on location, experience, and job ‑ related factors About PRN Ergonomic Services: For more than 20 years, Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) has been a trusted partner in delivering innovative ergonomic solutions that improve employee well-being, reduce workplace risk, and support healthy, productive work environments. We are seeking an experienced Ergonomic Program Manager to lead and grow our ergonomic program supporting clients throughout the Northern California Bay Area and additional locations nationwide. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting a wide range of industries and is responsible for program strategy, operational excellence, client satisfaction, team development, and business growth. About the Role: The Ergonomic Program Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and successful delivery of ergonomic services across assigned client accounts. This role oversees client relationships, employee and contractor management, program administration, scheduling operations, quality assurance, reporting, financial oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional service delivery and alignment with client objectives. The Ergonomic Program Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and ergonomic service teams, driving program performance, employee engagement, and operational excellence while driving growth and achieving business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Client & Account Management Serve as the primary relationship manager for key client accounts. Lead regular client meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning discussions. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with client stakeholders, EHS teams, HR, Facilities, Operations, and leadership. Address client escalations and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues. Identify opportunities for program expansion, process improvements, and enhanced service offerings. Monitor contractual obligations, service-level expectations, and program performance metrics. Program Operations & Administration Oversee day-to-day operations of ergonomic programs, ensuring consistent service delivery across multiple locations and client groups. Manage scheduling workflows, staffing allocations, evaluator utilization, and resource planning. Maintain program documentation, procedures, workflows, and service standards. Administer case management, scheduling, reporting, and ergonomic program systems. Coordinate equipment procurement processes, vendor relationships, and operational resources. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, client requirements, and ergonomic best practices. Employee Relations & People Leadership Manage and support a team of ergonomic specialists, evaluators, administrative staff (34) and contractors (8-10) Conduct onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and professional development activities. Facilitate team meetings, one-on-ones, goal setting, and performance management processes. Address employee concerns, conflict resolution matters, workload balancing, and engagement initiatives. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Review and approve payroll, timecards, PTO requests, expense reports, and workforce records. Monitor staffing levels, utilization, productivity, and resource allocation to support client demands. Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and succession planning activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices, and client requirements. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Develop and oversee quality assurance processes for ergonomic evaluations, reports, and documentation. Conduct audits and reviews to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to standards. Identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions to improve service quality and operational efficiency. Lead process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts across programs and teams. Monitor KPI performance and implement strategies to achieve program objectives. Reporting & Business Management Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), executive summaries, and client-facing presentations. Analyze program data, utilization metrics, ergonomic trends, and performance indicators. Track budgets, invoices, forecasting, and operational expenditures. Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making, demonstrate program value, and support strategic planning. Training & Program Development Develop and deliver ergonomic training programs, webinars, educational resources, and communication materials. Support onboarding and training of new team members and client stakeholders. Provide subject matter expertise on ergonomics, injury prevention, workplace design, and risk reduction strategies. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement new initiatives, services, and program enhancements. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Physical Therapy, or related field. Certification in Ergonomics or relevant professional accreditation preferred. 5+ years of experience in ergonomic, occupational health, workplace wellness, EHS, or injury prevention programs. 3+ years of leadership experience, including direct supervision of professional staff. Experience managing client relationships and presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience developing reports, analyzing KPIs, and using data to drive decision-making. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to travel for client visits.
