An established, growth-oriented title and settlement services organization is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer/Closing Agent to support a busy real estate investment office in Tampa. This is a newly created position offering an uncommon opportunity to become the organization's dedicated title and closing professional in the Tampa market. The selected candidate will support an established team of real estate investment professionals and step into a ready-made stream of transaction activity. This role is ideal for a Tampa-market closing professional who understands residential investment properties, property flips, and double-close transactions and wants the opportunity to help establish and grow a local operation. What You’ll Do Manage residential real estate transactions from opening through closing. Receive, review, and process purchase agreements, contracts, and closing instructions. Review title commitments and preliminary reports. Identify and communicate title curative requirements. Coordinate closing dates, transaction documents, funding, and required signatures. Prepare and review settlement statements and related closing documentation. Guide buyers, sellers, investors, agents, and other parties through the closing process. Address liens, affidavits, probate matters, foreclosures, and other title-related issues. Maintain accurate escrow accounting and resolve open balances or outstanding items. Provide timely transaction updates to agents, clients, lenders, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary title and closing resource supporting a growing Tampa-based real estate office. Build strong relationships with local office leadership and agents. Maintain exceptional accuracy, responsiveness, and customer service throughout each transaction. What We Are Looking For Minimum of two years of escrow, title closing, or real estate closing experience in the Tampa market. Experience working for a title company, settlement services firm, or similar organization. Demonstrated ability to independently manage residential transactions through closing. Experience with investment properties, property flips, or double closings strongly preferred. Working knowledge of title commitments, curative matters, liens, settlement statements, and escrow accounting. Experience with Qualia or a similar title and escrow platform strongly preferred. Proficiency with Google Workspace. Strong client service, communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with agents, leadership, and centralized title operations. High level of discretion when handling confidential financial and transaction information. Current Notary Public commission or ability to become a Florida Notary Public. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Work Arrangement This is a hybrid position supporting an established office in Tampa's Westshore business district. The schedule will be flexible and based on business needs rather than a fixed number of onsite days. The selected candidate should expect to spend more time in the office initially to build relationships with agents and local leadership. Remote work will be available as transaction volume and scheduling allow. A private onsite office will be provided. Transaction Environment Many files involve real estate investors, property flips, and double closings, so accuracy and sound judgment are valued over simply maximizing file volume.
