Estimator (AO-14116)

Job Description This is a remote position. About the Client Our client is a specialist roofing contractor focused on metal roofing and cladding, with a strong focus on Colorbond roofing systems. Approximately 90% of their projects are standalone roofing projects completed for builders. About the Role We are seeking a Roofing Estimator / Quantity Take-Off Specialist to support the estimating and quoting function. The role will initially focus on the behind-the-scenes preparation and quantity take-off work and helping to organise project documentation. Key Responsibilities Download, save, and organise construction plans and project documentation. Review and prepare plans for quantity take-offs and quoting. Complete accurate quantity take-offs from construction plans and drawings. Support the estimating and quoting process by preparing the required plans and project information. Assist with the day-to-day estimating workload. Take on additional estimating responsibilities as you become familiar with the business and its processes. Requirements Previous roofing estimating and quantity take-off experience is preferred. Experience with metal roofing and cladding is highly advantageous. Confident in reading construction plans and completing accurate take-offs. Groundplan experience is highly preferred. Simpro experience is beneficial. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Australian experience is advantageous, but relevant experience from the US, Canada, Philippines, or other markets will be considered.
