EU Product Manager – Chinese Language

Are you passionate about identifying new market opportunities and turning customer, competitor and industry insights into compelling value propositions? Do you also have professional proficiency in Chinese, enabling you to collaborate effectively with international teams and HQ?

Haier Europe is looking for an EU Product Manager to join our HVAC division. The successful candidate will analyse user needs, industry trends and competitor developments to identify new product opportunities and support growth across European markets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

User & Market Research

• Analyse user habits, needs and lifestyles across different European markets.
• Conduct user visits and interviews to identify needs, pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare regular research reports and share findings with Product, Marketing and HQ teams.
• Turn customer insights into product recommendations and value propositions.

Industry Intelligence

• Research key HVAC industry trends across Europe.
• Analyse policies, regulations, standards, subsidies and market-access requirements.
• Gather information through trade fairs, industry events, official bodies, specialist media and professional networks.
• Prepare regular reports on trends and developments relevant to the business.

Competitor Research

• Analyse the positioning, portfolio and strategy of key competitors.
• Visit distributors, customers, installers and installation companies.
• Research new products, technologies, features, design trends and competitor selling points.
• Recommend improvements to Haier's portfolio, product presentation and marketing messages.

New Business Opportunities

• Identify new product and market opportunities through user, industry and competitor analysis.
• Develop business cases, opportunity assessments and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with European teams and HQ to incorporate identified opportunities into product planning.
• Support the prioritisation of product development and launches across European markets.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• University degree, preferably in Engineering, HVAC, Refrigeration, Energy or a related field.
• More than five years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, heat pumps, ventilation or a related field.
• Strong market research experience in a technical sector will also be considered.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC system principles and solutions.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• Ability to turn complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Analytical, autonomous, curious and business-oriented profile.
• Availability to travel across Europe and visit customers, users, distributors and installers.

LANGUAGES & TOOLS

• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Professional proficiency in Chinese, both written and spoken, is essential for this position.
• Ability to prepare and present research reports in an international environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
