EU Strategy Intern Shape sunday’s European growth strategy, tackle high-impact challenges, and turn bold ideas into action alongside senior leaders at a fast-growing restaurant technology company. Apply to this job 👋 About Us sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US. About the Role As the EU Strategy Intern, you will join sunday’s GM Europe office and work directly with the Chief of Staff Europe on the questions that will shape sunday’s next phase of growth. You will also work closely with Charles Conques, GM Europe, and gain direct exposure to the decisions shaping sunday’s next phase of growth. This is not a traditional internship built around observation or recurring reporting. You will own real projects from problem framing to execution, and will operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics and product. You will work with senior leaders, move between topics quickly and learn how a high-growth company actually makes decisions. The GM Europe Office is expected to stay one step ahead of the business. This means anticipating risks, identifying opportunities early and making sure the right analysis, information and proposals are available before decisions become urgent. You will work with high standards, direct feedback and significant autonomy. You will not be given a fully defined playbook. You will be expected to ask sharp questions, structure problems, propose solutions and take projects from idea to execution. The role is best suited for someone who already has strong professional reflexes and is looking for an unusually demanding and high-exposure internship. Duration: 6 months, starting 1st of January 2027 Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey! Key Responsibilities Support European strategy: conduct market mapping, TAM/SAM analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform strategic choices. Improve how the GM office operates: identify recurring inefficiencies and build simpler, more scalable workflows using automation and AI. Prepare strategic initiatives: structure emerging topics, clarify open questions, build business cases and propose clear next steps before decisions become urgent. Drive projects end-to-end: move from an early signal or open question to analysis, recommendation, coordination and implementation. Enable cross-functional execution: coordinate workstreams across teams, keep priorities moving and ensure important topics do not get lost between functions. Prepare leadership meetings and business reviews: build decision-ready materials, structure discussions, document outcomes and follow up on commitments. Monitor European performance: help maintain clear reporting on business health, identify trends early and surface risks and opportunities to the GM Office. You will be expected to take projects from the first question to the final outcome: frame the problem, gather the right information, form a point of view, make a recommendation and help drive implementation. About You You are smart, ambitious and highly autonomous. You have already experienced a demanding professional environment and want an internship where you can operate at a much higher level than a typical intern. You should: Come from a top tiers Business or Engineering school Have at least one strong professional experience where you had to learn and deliver quickly (Strategy consulting, M&A, PE / VC, a startup, scale-up or founder’s office) Think structurally and know how to break down ambiguous problems. Be able to move from raw information to a clear recommendation. Have strong analytical skills and sound business judgement. Be highly organised, reliable and comfortable managing several workstreams. Communicate clearly in both French and English. Be able to build trust and work effectively with different teams and senior leaders. Be proactive, resourceful and willing to take ownership without waiting for detailed instructions. Be curious about business, product, operations, technology and entrepreneurship. Be comfortable with Google Sheets and analytical tools. Have experience with SQL, data visualisation, automation or AI tools (Dust), which would be a strong plus. You do not need to know everything when you join. You do need to know how to ask good questions, learn quickly and figure things out independently. We are not looking for someone who wants to be told exactly what to do. We are looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and helps make it happen. What We Offer This internship will give you: Direct exposure to the GM Europe and senior leadership team. Ownership of real strategic and operational projects. A broad understanding of how a high-growth company operates. Experience across strategy, business performance, product, organisation and execution. Direct feedback and a steep learning curve. A strong platform for a future career in strategy, operations, entrepreneurship or general management. For an exceptional performer, there may be an opportunity to continue at sunday after the internship, depending on performance and business needs. ⛳️ Compensation, Perks & Benefits 1,250€ per month.
