Exadel Accountant

We are seeking an ambitious Junior / Mid Accountant to join our international finance team in Sofia. The role will initially focus on day-to-day accounting and statutory support for the Bulgarian entity. Over time, the scope may expand to include selected accounting activities for Poland, so we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working across jurisdictions and learning additional local processes. What You’ll Do Process incoming and outgoing invoices, bank statements, expense reports, and other routine accounting documents in compliance with Bulgarian requirements Assist with month-end closing, account reconciliations, balance-sheet verification, and preparation of supporting schedules Support VAT reporting, local tax documentation, statutory reporting, and audit requests under Bulgarian legislation Gradually learn and support selected accounting processes for the Polish entity, working under the guidance of the finance team and local advisors Maintain accurate accounting data and support testing, data validation, and operational tasks related to ERP processes, including Workday where applicable Work with international Finance, HR, Payroll, IT, auditors, and external advisors to resolve operational queries What You Bring Hands-on operational accounting experience with proven skills such as accuracy, ownership, willingness to learn, clear communication, and the ability to manage priorities in an international environment Good working knowledge of Bulgarian accounting standards, local tax rules, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements Ability and willingness to work with more than one legal entity and to learn Polish accounting processes in the future Experience with modern ERP systems is preferred.
