This role will focus on uncovering emerging markets, cultivating strategic relationships, and creating innovative revenue opportunities through partnerships and content initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly connected business leader with a strong understanding of the sports and entertainment landscape, along with the ability to recognize opportunities, build relationships, and turn ideas into successful business ventures. This role pays an annual salary of $287,000 and is bonus eligible. Responsibilities Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and strategic growth areas within the sports and entertainment ecosystem. Develop relationships with potential partners and industry stakeholders. Create and pursue new revenue opportunities through partnerships, content initiatives, and strategic collaborations. Build compelling business concepts, proposals, and partnership opportunities that align with organizational goals. Lead opportunity development from initial discovery through relationship building, negotiation, and execution. Expand the organization’s network and market presence through proactive outreach and strategic engagement. Monitor industry developments, emerging platforms, and evolving audience behaviors to uncover new opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to transform business opportunities into impactful programs and experiences. Represent the organization with a high level of professionalism at industry events, meetings, and strategic forums. Drive sustainable revenue growth, focusing on a minimum of $1M in annual revenue through strategic programming across the OVG portfolio. Maximize routing opportunities across OVG-managed venues and Alliance members to improve tour economics and venue utilization. Develop new revenue streams through innovative entertainment concepts and strategic partnerships. Track key performance indicators including ticket sales, ancillary revenue, attendance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and venue utilization. Deliver monthly executive reporting on financial performance, business development initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities to OVG leadership team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in stadium, arena, or major venue booking, live entertainment, sports, or event management, including leadership responsibility across multiple venues or markets. Demonstrated executive-level relationships with promoters, booking agencies, artist management, sports organizations, event producers, and entertainment partners. Extensive knowledge of business development, event booking, contract negotiations, event settlements, financial proformas, budgeting, event licensing agreements, and venue operations. Proven success developing new business strategies that increase venue utilization, revenue, and long-term business growth. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple venues and organizational levels. Strong strategic planning, business development, financial analysis, and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship management, and executive leadership abilities. Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, venue management software, and booking systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Ability to consistently uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and confidentiality. Proven experience in business development, partnerships, sales strategy, or growth initiatives within sports, entertainment, media, events, or related industries. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and generate new business. Strong network and understanding of the sports and entertainment business landscape. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to move opportunities from concept to execution.
