Job Title (Executive) Director – Rabo Investments Corporate Venturing Job Description We are looking for an experienced technology investor who has personally led and closed strategic investments in critical IT infrastructure and who can operate at executive level within a large international organisation. You will help make it happen. As Senior Investment Director, you will be part of the Rabo Investments Corporate Venturing team and take the lead in assessing, structuring and executing investments in new technology partnerships of the bank. You will operate at the intersection of equity investing, business development and technology strategy, creating long-term value for Rabobank through building strategic partnerships. Rabo Investments Corporate Venturing invests in early-stage and growth-stage technology companies that support Rabobank’s digital transformation ambitions. The team increasingly focusses on critical IT infrastructure (cloud, data & AI) supporting different Rabobank domains to build future capabilities, while maintaining strategic influence and technological sovereignty. We actively partner with founders, corporates and leading VC investors across Europe, North America and other innovation hubs. You and your job The Senior Investment Director is responsible for stakeholder management and the structuring and executing of strategic minority investments. You align internal and external stakeholder interests and ensure that investments deliver both strategic and financial value. You are comfortable leading the investment process end-to-end, responsible for developing and presenting high-quality investment proposals to internal governance bodies, leading the due diligence processes, negotiating transaction documentation, and actively driving strategic and operational value creation across our portfolio. Facts & Figures 40 hours per week Role located in Utrecht, the Netherlands Corporate Venturing portfolio with already 40 successful ventures & VC funds Part of Rabo Investments, the captive equity investment arm of Rabobank Top 4 responsibilities Engage with senior business and technology leaders to assess strategic partnerships and respective investment opportunities aligned with Rabobank's digital transformation agenda; Structure, negotiate and execute strategic minority equity investments, including end-to-end responsibility for due diligence, term sheet negotiation, investment proposals and governance approvals; Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, technology leaders, investors and ecosystem partners in cloud, data, AI, and other enterprise technology domains; Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic technology investments, supporting operational integration, value creation and long-term partnership success. You and your talent At least 12 years of experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Corporate Development with a proven track-record in leading complex, high-value technology transactions is a must-have; Deep understanding of the enterprise/financial technology stack, including IT & cloud infrastructure, data & analytics, AI and software applications, and a broad network within the European technology and innovation ecosystem; Experience of working with, or advising, large enterprises or banks with a demonstrated ability to engage with and influence multiple stakeholders, executive leadership, program boards and external partners; An entrepreneurial mindset: result-driven, proactive, collaborative and resilient, skilled at navigating complex organisations and leveraging internal and external networks to create a positive impact; Proven ability to drive value creation and develop high-performing teams; Strong commercial, negotiation, and communication skills; Excellent problem-solving skills, showing critical judgement and integrity. Living in the Netherlands and authorised to work in the Netherlands. Important: This is a highly specialised investment role. We are looking for senior candidates with hands-on experience in leading complex technology investments and designing strategic partnerships. Experience adjacent to investments, such as strategy consulting, technology leadership or business development, without direct transaction responsibility or investment track-record, will not be sufficient for success in this position.
