Build a New Data Center Construction Business From the Ground Up

We are partnering with a rapidly growing critical infrastructure EPC contractor that is launching a new Mission Critical Division focused on the rapidly expanding data center market.

This is a unique opportunity for a proven construction executive to build and lead a business unit from day one — developing the strategy, winning projects, building the team, and creating a platform designed for long-term growth.

The successful candidate will have the autonomy, resources, and executive backing to create a market-leading mission critical business leveraging existing capabilities in high-voltage power, substations, electrical infrastructure, and complex construction delivery.

This is not a role for someone looking to simply manage an existing operation. We are looking for a builder, entrepreneur, and player-coach who wants to make a significant impact.

About the Role

As Executive Vice President – Mission Critical Division, you will have full ownership of launching and scaling the business unit.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing the mission critical growth strategy.
• Building relationships with data center developers, colocation providers, and infrastructure owners.
• Winning projects within the sub-50MW data center market.
• Building the leadership team, including Preconstruction/Construction leadership and business development resources.
• Establishing processes, systems, and operational standards.
• Leading project pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award.
• Overseeing project delivery from preconstruction through construction and commissioning.
• Owning the division’s growth, pipeline, client relationships, and financial performance.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a high-energy construction leader with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to win work.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 15+ years of construction leadership experience from a US contractor
• Proven success delivering complex construction projects.
• Existing relationships with data center developers, colocation providers, or critical infrastructure clients.
• Experience winning work and developing executive-level client relationships.
• Understanding of how mission critical facilities are designed and built.
• Ability to build, mentor, and lead a team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a growth environment.
• A hands-on, player-coach mentality — someone who is willing to be actively involved in building the business.

Preferred backgrounds include:

• Mission critical/data center general contractors
• Electrical contractors
• EPC organizations
• High-voltage and power infrastructure companies
• Leaders from major data center construction firms with strong client relationships

A background in electrical power, substations, medium voltage, or utility infrastructure is highly valued.

Location & Travel

• Remote position.
• Approximately 25% travel.
• Monthly executive leadership meetings
• Candidates located near the East Coast or within Central/Eastern time zones preferred.
