Company Description Morgana Walker Psychology | Morgana Walker & Associates Pty Ltd is a neurodiversity-affirming practice based in Melbourne, supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and professionals to understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and thrive. Led by psychologist, registered teacher, and play therapist Morgana Walker MAPS, the practice integrates evidence-based psychology, play therapy, sensory-informed approaches, and specialist expertise in ADHD and neurodiversity. Services include child, teen, and adult psychology, parent coaching, family support, play and filial therapy, neurodiversity-affirming assessment and intervention, and professional development for educators and clinicians. The practice also delivers global webinars, training, and CPD-aligned learning designed to be accessible, inclusive, culturally sensitive, and practical. At its core, the team is committed to helping people feel understood and helping relationships feel lighter through warmth, curiosity, compassion, and strengths-based care.

Role Description The Experienced Psychologist will provide therapeutic support and assessment services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a neurodiversity-affirming context. Day-to-day tasks include conducting individual and family sessions, completing psychological assessments, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions aligned with clients’ goals and strengths. The role involves collaborating with parents, caregivers, schools, and other professionals, as well as contributing to professional development activities, group programs, and resources where appropriate. The psychologist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, uphold ethical and regulatory standards, and engage in ongoing supervision and professional learning. This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, VIC, with a mix of in-person work at the practice and some work from home.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Psychology, including evidence-based therapeutic approaches and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
  • Experience in Counseling and Mental Health support for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • Competence in Psychological Assessment, including formulation, report writing, and communicating findings in accessible ways.
  • Understanding of relevant aspects of Medicine and multidisciplinary care, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare and education professionals.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a psychologist with the relevant professional body and regulatory authority.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive practice, particularly with neurodivergent clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to build safe, respectful therapeutic relationships.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a small team, including engaging in supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.
