Magone & Company, P.C. is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing assurance team. This is an opportunity for a public accounting professional who is ready to take greater ownership of engagements, work closely with clients, mentor developing staff, and build a long-term career within a modern, growth-oriented CPA firm. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients and team members. What You’ll Do • Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from initial planning through final delivery • Coordinate engagement timelines, fieldwork, documentation, and client requests • Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules • Identify accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters • Communicate engagement progress and findings to clients and firm leadership • Supervise, coach, and support staff accountants throughout engagements • Help improve audit processes through technology, standardization, and efficient workflows • Build strong client relationships by providing responsive and professional service What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • 4–6 years of progressive audit experience • At least 2 years of recent public accounting experience • Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting • Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills • Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office • CPA license preferred or active progress toward certification • Clear written and verbal communication skills Why Magone & Company? • Direct exposure to clients across a variety of industries • Meaningful responsibility and visibility with firm leadership • Opportunities to lead engagements and develop junior team members • A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and technology-focused environment • Structured opportunities for advancement and professional growth • A hybrid schedule designed to support flexibility and work-life balance Compensation and Benefits • Salary range of $80,000–$100,000, based on experience • Hybrid schedule with client-site work as needed, in-office Tuesday through Thursday, and remote work Monday and Friday • Company-paid health and life insurance • 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match • 15 days of PTO plus paid holidays • CPA exam support and ongoing professional development • Clear career progression within a growing firm At Magone & Company, your work will be visible, your ideas will be heard, and your professional development will be supported.
