The opportunity The System Administrator is responsible for monitoring, configuring, managing, supporting and improving various university systems. This position performs administrative tasks, ensures data integrity, and works with third parties to identify opportunities for improvement. #LI-Remote Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain systems that support business needs, while ensuring the highest level of data security. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify, implement, and support additional opportunities to productively add and support new product and service roll-outs. Maintain communication around issues and opportunities; communicate across organizational boundaries from system end users through senior management. Prepare documentation and explain technical projects; develop diagrams, charts and data to explain complex topics such as data flow, system utilization, and trends Translate user requests into workable requirements, document specifications, and test cases, and schedule work into sprints. Work to continuously improve administrative solutions to reduce cost intensive maintenance and support activities. Support a Service Level Agreement (SLA) based administrative model in partnership with outsourced development resources. Support the ongoing maintenance and development of system and process documentation. Perform day-to-day ServiceNow administrative tasks and address production support issues (e.g. unlocking/resetting passwords, modifying data, and creating ad hoc reports, etc). Fulfill application requests for service from business users escalated through the help desk. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Job duties and responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice. What We're Looking For: 2 years of experience working in an application support role. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Experience analyzing business, operational, or technical issues and documenting findings, risks, dependencies, and recommended solutions. Experience communicating technical and non-technical information to multiple stakeholder groups through written documentation, presentations, meetings, or training sessions. Experience administering, configuring, or supporting a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, including user management, system configuration, reporting, workflow administration, or troubleshooting. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, requests, or support activities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing changes that improved efficiency, quality, user experience, compliance, or operational outcomes. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
