Overview ADL Fall 2026 Internship Description ADL’s National Affairs team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from September 14 to December 18 , 2026. The National Affairs Intern will work across the team supporting Federal Affairs, Community Mobilization & Volunteer Engagement, the Ronald Birnbaum Center for Combatting Antisemitism in Education (CCAE), and the Ratings and Assessments Institute (RAI). The intern will support initiatives on each team that address antisemitism and extremism across all levels of government and various public sectors. Projects may involve research, tracking, advocacy support, correspondence writing, database management, meeting preparation, and other duties as assigned. This is a part-time internship requiring a commitment of 15 hours per week. This internship can be remote or in-person in Washington, D.C. Application portals will close at 12PM ET on August 14th, 2026. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-August. Responsibilities Primary: Assist with federal affairs work by monitoring congressional activities, helping draft advocacy materials, and supporting outreach to elected officials Contribute to the Center to Combat Antisemitism in Education by researching educational policies, helping develop advocacy strategies, and supporting initiatives to address antisemitism in K-12 schools and on college campuses Conduct research on antisemitism in various sectors to support policy development and advocacy efforts Draft correspondence, talking points, and other materials for meetings with government officials and community stakeholders Assist with community mobilization and volunteer engagement efforts Qualifications Requirements Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Passion for non-profit work. Desire to start building career within non-profit sector. Skills/Attributes Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong research skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to demonstrate commitment to ADL’s mission. Discretion when dealing with sensitive issues. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. Compensation and Hours This internship is paid at local minimum wage or 15/hr (whichever is higher). The internship is 15 hours per week. This internship will be remote or hybrid with in-person presence in Washington, D.C. What will you do during this internship? You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions. You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL. You will have practical, hands-on experience with research, tracking, advocacy support, correspondence writing, and database management.
