Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to lead and expand its presence in Roanoke, Virginia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a business-generating attorney with an existing book of business to join a firm that provides robust marketing, operational, and administrative support. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to grow an established practice, increase earning potential, and leverage the resources of a respected firm while maintaining autonomy over their caseload. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution. Handle cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, spousal support, and protective orders. Transition and expand an existing portable book of business within the firm's platform. Continue developing client relationships and referral sources throughout the Roanoke and Southwest Virginia markets. Represent clients in court, mediations, and settlement negotiations across Southwest Virginia. Provide strategic legal counsel while maintaining exceptional client relationships. Collaborate with firm leadership to support continued growth and market expansion throughout Virginia. Requirements Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Virginia Bar license in good standing. Five or more years of family law experience. Demonstrated ability to generate and maintain a portable book of business. Strong litigation and courtroom experience. Proven ability to independently manage a busy caseload. Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and grow a thriving practice.
