This role serves as an in-house legal generalist with primary responsibility for legal matters primarily arising in Mexico and possibly expanding more broadly into LATAM. The role will provide legal guidance primarily on workforce-related issues, employment advice and litigation, employee training, and internal investigations; coordinate closely with U.S.-based legal colleagues on cross‑border issues; and provide other legal support as needs arise. Key Responsibilities Advise on Mexican corporate and labor and employment matters, including employee relations issues, general knowledge of social security and employment-related taxes, subcontracting, regulatory and investigations, in collaboration with HR and U.S.-based legal colleagues. Support interactions with Mexican regulators and authorities, including labor authorities and other relevant agencies; assist with inspections, audits, inquiries, and administrative proceedings as needed. Collaborate with U.S.‑based and global legal teams on cross‑border matters, including policy alignment, risk mitigation and investigations. Identify legal and regulatory risks in Mexico (to expand broader into LATAM) and contribute to training and education for business and HR partners on legal topics relevant to operations in Mexico. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney in employment, labor, corporate, or related legal fields. Experience serving as in-house counsel or advising multinational corporate clients. Experience conducting and managing complex workplace investigations. Demonstrated experience advising senior business leaders and Human Resources professionals on employment law and Employee Relations matters. Experience supporting multiple jurisdictions and legal entities within a multinational organization. Experience navigating issues involving Mexican labor law as part of a broader legal portfolio and with a business perspective. Proven ability to navigate highly matrixed environments and manage competing business priorities. Strong knowledge of Mexican employment and corporate law. Experience working within financial services, banking, retail, insurance, shared services, or other highly regulated industries. Education Law Degree (Licenciatura en Derecho). Active license and authorization to practice law in Mexico. Master's Degree preferred. Languages Fluent English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications Regional LATAM employment law experience supporting multiple countries. Strong executive presence and ability to influence business decisions through practical legal guidance. Experience supporting multinational organizations undergoing growth, transformation, or organizational change. Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package: 1.
