BGMG is seeking an experienced Federal Travel Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an anticipated federal government travel services contract. This job is listed as remote but may require limited travel to the D.C. area to attend and deliver training. This position is contingent upon contract award. No employment commitment will be made unless and until the contract is awarded and the position is authorized to be filled. Applicants will be contacted only if the contract is awarded and the applicant is selected to proceed in the hiring process. The SME will serve as the senior functional resource for federal travel processing, electronic travel systems, travel policies and procedures, workflow management, customer support, training, reporting, and related travel-system transition activities under this contract. The position will primarily support the Agency's current electronic travel environment, E2 Solutions (ETS2) , and will assist with the anticipated transition to Go.gov , the government-wide travel system managed by the General Services Administration (GSA). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with federal government travel , strong knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) , and experience working with electronic travel management systems. Key Responsibilities Federal Travel and Policy Expertise Serve as the contractor's subject matter expert for federal travel processing and travel management. Apply knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), GSA guidance, applicable federal requirements, and Agency travel policies and procedures. Provide guidance on complex travel authorizations, vouchers, reservations, reimbursable expenses, and approval requirements. Review and resolve complex travel-processing and policy questions. Provide additional compliance support for international, VIP, and other high-visibility travel. Support accurate and compliant processing of federal travel transactions. Electronic Travel System Support Provide functional expertise for the Agency's electronic travel system, E2 Solutions (ETS2) . Support users with travel authorizations, vouchers, reservations, and approval workflows. Troubleshoot electronic travel system and integration-related issues. Assist with establishing, maintaining, and validating travel approval workflows. Support administration of user roles and permissions and maintain appropriate role-based access. Provide guidance regarding system functionality and travel-management processes. Go.gov Transition Support Support the Agency's transition from E2 Solutions/ETS2 to Go.gov . Assist with mapping existing travel authorization, voucher, approval, reporting, and payment workflows to the new system. Participate in system readiness activities, workflow and approval validation, testing, issue resolution, and process adjustments. Assist with maintaining continuity of travel operations during the transition. Provide functional expertise and recommendations throughout implementation and transition activities. Reporting and Quality Support Extract, compile, and review travel-related reports from the electronic travel system and related systems. Support annual government reporting and travel-card reporting requirements. Review travel data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies. Support the contractor's quality-control activities related to travel processing and system performance. Training and Customer Support Provide training to Agency personnel on federal travel processes and the electronic travel system. Conduct virtual training sessions, webinars, and remote desk-side support. Provide refresher and system/policy-change training as needed. Coach and assist users with travel authorizations, vouchers, reservations, and related processes. Provide timely responses to complex customer questions and support the resolution of escalated issues. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience supporting federal travel programs. Strong working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and federal travel policies and procedures. Experience using the E2 travel management system . Experience processing, reviewing, or overseeing federal travel authorizations and travel vouchers. Experience with travel approval workflows and electronic travel-system support. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Ability to explain complex federal travel requirements clearly to end users. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting the transition between electronic travel systems. Experience with federal travel reporting and Government Travel Card processes. Experience with workflow configuration, user roles, permissions, or system administration. Experience providing virtual training and desk-side support to federal employees. Security Requirement The anticipated contract requires contractor personnel to have a current, favorably adjudicated background investigation that can be accepted by FRTIB through reciprocity. The Statement of Work identifies NACI as the minimum investigation, with MBI, BI, SSBI, or PPR also identified as acceptable investigations.
