Role overview: The FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Program Support team member will execute disaster recovery operations and the administration of FEMA Public Assistance activities for state, local, and other eligible applicants. This role provides project, administrative, documentation, and operational support to Public Assistance teams throughout the disaster recovery lifecycle. The Program Support team member may assist with applicant coordination, project tracking, documentation management, data entry, reporting, reimbursement support, and other activities necessary to keep recovery projects organized and moving forward. A qualified candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced disaster recovery environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support project and client objectives Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Produce accurate, complete, and timely work products, conducting appropriate quality reviews prior to submission Review contracts, state documentation, invoices, procurement records, and other supporting materials for completeness and accuracy of FEMA Public Assistance activities Support debris removal activities by reviewing and organizing related documentation, including contractor records, load tickets, monitoring documentation, invoices, and other records. Maintain regular communication with the Engagement Manager and/or workstream lead regarding progress, priorities, and project activities Proactively identify and escalate potential issues, risks, or challenges that may impact assigned work Communicate project information clearly, professionally, and concisely to team members, clients, and other stakeholders Assist with market research, proposal development, and other business development activities, as needed **Ability to be on-site at the client Monday through Friday with a shift schedule of 9:00am-5:00pm. ** Candidates may be required to undergo background screenings as required by clients for engagement delivery purposes. Continued employment is contingent upon successfully passing such screenings throughout the duration of employment. What Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like: Familiarity with FEMA Public Assistance (PA), disaster recovery, emergency management, or other government programs is preferred Understanding of contract documentation, debris removal operations, or disaster recovery documentation preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and apply FEMA program requirements, processes, and procedures in support of disaster recovery operations
