Description Your Role: The Field Application Scientist (FAS) role is part of the Miltenyi Commercial team playing a key role in customer success. The responsibilities of the FAS bridge from pre-sales to post-sales. The FAS manages the customer installation base in the assigned territory by delivering the initial customer training, and is responsible for continuous support and success -, including re-trainings, application development, and workshop planning and execution. In addition, the FAS participates in the pre-sales process and assists a diverse team of Technical Sales Representatives in delivering technical presentations and lunches and learns, as well as instrument demonstrations to technically close a sale. The FAS contributes to the sale of antibodies, reagents and other consumables by promoting and recommending Miltenyi products when appropriate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Act as the primary field support for the Flow and Imaging instrument install base providing onsite training and applications support post sale, as needed. Perform onsite product demonstrations alongside Instrument Sales Specialists coordinating activities with local TSCs. Conduct routine follow up post installation/training for existing Flow and Imaging instrument customers. Work collaboratively in shared accounts to support the sale of flow cytometry and imaging reagents, kits, and antibodies through joint workdays with local TSC. Plan and manages time and territory plan to ensure adequate coverage across territory and accounts. Provide ongoing support to existing customers on flow and imaging technical questions as a follow up to incoming requests to Technical Support team. Prepare and deliver presentations and/or seminars; answers questions and provides additional application training. Use and comply with corporate electronic account management system (CRM), documenting interactions customers, calendar of appointments, and tracking of opportunities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering); A minimum of 5 years of experience in biological or biomedical sciences with at least 2 years of flow cytometry and imaging experience. Experience working with researchers through scientific collaboration, applications support or technical training. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Subject matter expertise in flow cytometry, multiplex immunofluorescence and 3D immunofluorescence imaging. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. Willingness to travel as required (up to 70%). Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled.
