Field Fusion Technician - HDPE or PVC

Underground Solutions (UGS) has an opening for a Fusion Technician. This is a remote position and will handle work in the Southeastern US (North Carolina, South Carolina and Northeastern Florida). You MUST reside in that region. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required 5 years of construction experience, ideally with some Fusible PVC or HDPE experience Experience with the construction process and methods for pipeline installation, preferred Effectively correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with general and drilling contractors and co-workers Must be mechanically inclined with strong problem solving and organizational skills Must have a valid driver’s license, clear driving record, and have or able to obtain a DOT medical card with DOT physical Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision from a remote home office Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time for 1 to 2 weeks at a time Computer literacy with ability to learn quickly COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Competitive Hourly Pay Rate with Paid Overtime and Career Growth Opportunities Paid Per Diem for food with company paid hotel and fuel Company truck, laptop and cell phone Full Benefits Package including Medical, Dental and Vision, Long and Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Matching 401k 14 weekdays Paid Time Off and 10 paid Holidays per calendar year Tuition Assistance RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for fusing our patented Fusible PVC® pipe by means of a thermal butt fusion technology and providing on-site assistance to installation contractors in a fast-paced, small company atmosphere Providing PVC fusion services while working closely with contractors on the jobsite. Represent our company on the job site and must be able to conduct themselves professionally Training and assisting customers with various fusion joining and field installation processes Travel to and from work sites with extended assignments of one to two weeks at a time Perform maintenance of fusion machines Working outdoors and on-site to exacting QA/QC specifications and documentation requirements Azuria Water Solutions Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer .
