Job Description Position Summary Tiny Hearts of America is seeking a qualified and passionate BSW/MSW Field Placement Trainer to provide supervision, mentorship, training, and professional development for Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students completing their field placement experience. This position plays a critical role in preparing future social workers through hands-on learning, ethical practice, and exposure to community-based programs and nonprofit operations. The Field Placement Trainer will work closely with university partners, students, and organizational leadership to ensure field experiences meet educational requirements while supporting the mission and goals of Tiny Hearts of America. Key Responsibilities Student Supervision & Mentorship Provide supervision and guidance to BSW and MSW interns. Support students in developing professional social work competencies. Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions. Assist students in connecting classroom theory to real-world practice. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment. Training & Professional Development Develop and facilitate orientation and training programs for field students. Provide instruction on ethics, boundaries, documentation, advocacy, case management, community engagement, and nonprofit operations. Assist students in developing professional communication and leadership skills. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. University & Program Coordination Serve as the primary liaison between Tiny Hearts of America and partnering colleges and universities. Coordinate field placement opportunities and student assignments. Complete required evaluations and documentation for educational institutions. Participate in meetings with university field placement coordinators as needed. Program Support Involve students in community outreach, volunteer engagement, program development, and service initiatives. Assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation activities. Provide opportunities for students to gain experience in macro, mezzo, and micro social work practice. Support organizational initiatives that align with student learning objectives. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate records of supervision, evaluations, and training completion. Ensure compliance with university field placement requirements. Monitor progress toward learning agreements and educational goals. Requirements Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW). Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social work, human services, nonprofit leadership, community outreach, case management, or related practice. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Understanding of social work ethics and professional standards. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Preferred MSW from a CSWE-accredited program. Active social work license (where applicable). Previous experience supervising interns or field placement students. Experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, program development, or volunteer coordination. Familiarity with accreditation and field education standards.
