Position Description Fluke Reliability is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of the Field Services team while remaining actively involved in customer-facing technical service work. This is a player-coach role responsible for leading and developing Field Service Engineers while supporting alignment, condition monitoring, product training, and other field service activities. The manager also owns key operational processes including scheduling, backlog management, forecasting, invoicing readiness, resource utilization, and Services standard work . Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, develop, and manage Field Service Engineers and other assigned Services personnel. Own day-to-day team scheduling, workload prioritization, resource allocation, and customer commitments. Manage Field Service backlog, including aging, scheduling status, risks, and conversion to revenue. Develop and maintain accurate monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts. Ensure completed service work is properly documented and processed for timely invoicing. Monitor team utilization, productivity, capacity, and overall operational performance. Perform customer-facing field service activities related to machine alignment, condition monitoring, installation/commissioning, troubleshooting, and reliability services . Deliver remote and onsite product training to customers. Serve as an escalation point for customer, technical, scheduling, and operational issues. Generate and review customer-facing service reports, findings, and recommendations. Maintain personal schedule, book required travel, and submit expenses within established timelines. Ensure direct reports meet expectations for scheduling, travel, expenses, reporting, and documentation. Ensure adherence to Services standard work, SOPs, safety requirements, quality standards, and company policies . Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Support, Product Management, and Operations to support customer and business needs. Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, scheduling, forecasting, invoicing, and overall team effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, reliability, industrial maintenance, or a related field. Experience in field service, machine alignment, condition monitoring, industrial maintenance, or technical services. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred. Strong business acumen with experience managing or understanding revenue, backlog, forecasting, invoicing, utilization, and productivity . Strong customer communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel regularly throughout North America, with potential international travel. Valid Driver’s License required; Passport recommended. Ability to work in industrial environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
