Salary Range: $19.00 To $21.00 Hourly UFW FOUNDATION JOB POST TITLE: Finance Assistant FLSA STATUS : Hourly (Non-Exempt) LOCATION : Remote. HIRING RANGE : $19.00 to $21.00, hourly. About UFW Foundation: For 20 years, the UFW Foundation has mobilized farm workers and their organizations across the country to advocate for more equitable policies, such as immigration reform, pesticide protections, heat standards, hazard pay, and other worker protections. We engage constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty while also providing critical services. In fact, the UFW Foundation is one of the largest federally accredited immigration legal service providers in the state of California. The organization has staff in Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, and Washington state. SUMMARY: The Finance Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of the Chief Financial Officer, as well as supporting the Grants and Fiscal Compliance team. The primary duties of the Finance Assistant will include, but are not limited to recording deposits, payments, and receipts to the appropriate program and accounts, as well as providing high-level general clerical support. The Finance Assistant is required to maintain a collaborative working relationship with UFW Foundation staff. The Finance Assistant will report to the Chief Financial Officer. Secondary duties will include assisting the Director of Grants and Budgets and the Controller with various AP/AR duties and responsibilities as directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This is not an exhaustive list) Assist Chief Financial Officer with preparation of presentation materials of financial matters, including those of a confidential nature; prepare various reports, statistical data, and other materials as directed; prepare, format, edit, proofread, and revise written materials for accuracy. Assist with maintaining grant information in various accounting systems including Travel and Expense (currently Concur), Accounting (currently Acumatica) and Budgeting (currently Workday). Reconcile monthly payments and fees (including but not limited to Merchant Store revenue, online donations). Maintain confidentiality of all financial data. Plan, coordinate, and successfully execute a variety of business requests. Prepare spreadsheets, schedules, reconciliations, and analysis including: monthly balance sheets for various general ledger accounts Bank Reconciliations Trend Analysis and activity detail Other duties as assigned.
