Finance Assistant

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real impact? If so, we're looking for you! TBCo is seeking a talented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team in Leith, Edinburgh. What You’ll Do Day-to-day finance Process and accurately record supplier invoices in Xero Ensure invoices are correctly coded and authorised Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to supplier queries Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure payments are made on time Additional finance support Assist the Finance Director with ad hoc finance administration when required Provide support with month-end accounts where needed About you We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and able to work independently. You will ideally have: 3-5+ years' experience in a finance, bookkeeping or accounts role Strong practical experience using Xero Good understanding of purchase ledger and supplier payments Experience supporting month-end accounts Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate them rather than simply flagging them Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and colleagues The role Hours: 8-10 hours per week Working pattern: Flexible; ideally spread across 2 days Location: H ybrid Reporting to: Finance Director
