This position reports to: M&A Finance Manager __ Your role and responsibilities You will be supporting ABB’s worldwide buy- and sell-side financial due diligence activities to identify risks in potential M&A transactions, and prepare, advise and execute solutions to achieve the most beneficial position for the company. The work model for the role is: remote #LI-Remote You will be a financial expert for all of ABB’s businesses in regards of ABB’s global M&A activity within a global function. You will be mainly accountable for: Initial target assessment including high-level financial analysis and preparation of adjusted historic financials Buy-and Sell side Financial Due Diligence preparation, execution and support Closing accounts reviews as part of the purchase price finalization Assisting ABB US GAAP Acquisition and Divestment accounting and reporting preparation and execution, including external reporting requirements and performance of necessary controls Supporting the preparation of pro forma financials to demonstrate the impact of acquisitions on ABB’s financial statements Performing acquisition and divestment controls as part of ABB’s internal control framework Supporting the development of ABB’s accounting-related policies/directives/controls in area of business combinations and divestments Qualifications for the role Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Accounting You possess 2-4 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence acquired at reputable accounting firm (or equivalent), which preferably operates globally You possess US GAAP (or IFRS) knowledge Very good communication, project management and analytical skills required Able and willing to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and in a multinational and multicultural environment You are at ease communicating in English – both written and spoken You are willing to work flexible hours and global travel ability Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
