Financial Analyst

The Role We are seeking a Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our Erskine Park team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights and projections to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and developing financial models to guide Covetrus’ financial planning and performance. Your responsibilities will include – Conducting comprehensive financial analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and to provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Preparation of accurate and concise financial reports, including monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, variance analysis, and financial performance summaries. Assisting in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasting cycles through collaborate with business stakeholders to gather input, review assumptions, and validate financial projections. Monitoring actual performance against budget and forecasts, identifying and explaining variances to stakeholders. Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making. Data management through the collection, organisation and validation of financial data from multiple data sources. About You Ideally you will display – Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance combined with CA/CPA accreditation (or working towards). Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a corporate environment. Sound business analysis skills and exceptional attention to detail. A driven attitude with a motivation to deliver and progress within the organisation. Experience using Power BI and Excel for financial analysis, with exposure to developing reports using Power Query and DAX and working with complex, multi-sheet Excel workbooks. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to identify process improvement opportunities, automate routine tasks, and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.
