MAIN PURPOUSE Provide functional support to the FINIS project by contributing to system testing and validation processes, ensuring accurate and efficient financial workflows prior to system deployment, and supporting the implementation of a modern, integrated financial system across MSF OCBA. JOB OVERVIEW The FINIS Functional Support Intern assists the functional team during the testing phase of the Financial Information System (FINIS). The role focuses on supporting validation of financial processes, including accounting, invoicing, treasury, payroll, and asset management functionalities. The intern contributes to ensuring data accuracy, process consistency, and system readiness for production. This position provides exposure to financial systems implementation within an international humanitarian organization and supports cross-functional collaboration across departments. RESPONSIBILITIES Support execution of system testing activities to validate financial processes and ensure system readiness for production. Assist in verifying invoice management workflows, ensuring accuracy in processing, recording, and reconciliation. Support testing procurement and purchasing validation processes, ensuring proper integration with financial records. Support testing of treasury operations, including cash and bank transactions, to ensure reliability and traceability. Assist in payroll-related validation processes, ensuring correct accounting and payment flows. Participate in validation of intercompany transactions and reinvoicing processes to ensure consistency across entities. Support fixed asset management testing, ensuring proper recording and tracking within the system. Collaborate with the functional team to identify discrepancies, report issues, and contribute to system improvements. ROLE´S SPECIFIC ELEMENTS Involvement in a key strategic transformation project (FINIS) aimed at implementing a modern financial system. Exposure to end-to-end financial processes, including accounting, treasury, payroll, and assets. Interaction with multiple departments (Finance, HR, Supply, Fundraising) in a complex organizational environment. Hybrid working model based in Barcelona. SELECTION CRITERIA Currently studying Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (FP II, undergraduate degree, or equivalent). Basic experience in administrative and/or accounting tasks. Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Minimum B2 level of English is required. Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Previous exposure to financial systems, accounting software, or ERP environments will be considered an asset. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, proactivity, teamwork and learning agility. CONDITIONS Based in Barcelona MSF Spain Headquarters Part-time position (20-25 hours / week). Conditions will be according to MSF internal “Internship policy” and will be formalized into an “Agreement” signed between MSF and the University detailing duties and obligations of each party. Support package: 650€ gross per month based on a 20-hour working week (based on the MSF OCBA Internship Policy). Duration of position: 6 months, extendable to 1 year. Starting date: October 1st.
