Job Summary At Polaroid, we are evolving our instant photography platform by integrating modern digital imaging technologies into our instant camera systems. We are seeking a Firmware / Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team working on the next-generation of instant camera, integrating digital image capture with analog printing mechanisms. What you’ll do Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware in C for battery-powered devices. Develop robust applications and drivers on top of FreeRTOS. Debug complex hardware-software issues and drive root-cause resolution. Work closely with electrical, mechanical, optics, product, and manufacturing teams. Support bring-up, validation, and production line development activities. Contribute to continuous improvements in quality, reliability, and performance. Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience building embedded products. Experience building battery-powered consumer or portable devices. Strong problem-solving mindset and practical engineering approach. Comfortable working with people from different disciplines. Open to new challenges and ambiguity in fast-moving product development. Nice to have Familiarity with LVGL. Familiarity with image processing algorithms. Familiarity with image sensor tuning. Experience with BLE stack integration/development. Experience in production line development and manufacturing test support.
