About the role An exciting opportunity has opened up in our Davy First Line of Defence team with Wealth Risk. In the role, the successful candidate will: Risk Framework Development: Enhance, and implement changes to the firms Risk Frameworks, policies, and procedures. ·T echnical Knowledge: Professional understanding of the Irish regulatory landscape, with specific experience in Financial Regulation and Reporting. Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and work to mitigate regulatory, operational, and conduct risks in the area of Wealth Management functions. · Regulatory Adherence: Monitor, interpret, and implement new and existing regulations applicable to Davys. (e.g. Consumer Protection Code, DORA, MiFID II) Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to identify resolutions to complex issues across the Wealth Management department and provide oversight of resolutions. Presentation and Delivery: Present reports and report findings arising from assurance activities to a wide variety of audiences. About you We are looking for someone with the following background and skills: 1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Applicant should be comfortable performing excel functions such as V-Lookup and basic equations. Applicant should be comfortable collating data and using data to create and edit graphs on powerpoint. 2. Strong interest in the topic of Wealth Management. Applicant should have an interest in the topic of wealth management and be eager to improve and develop their knowledge in this topic. 3. Good Communication Skills: Applicant should have professional experience of communicating with stakeholders and building professional relationships across a business. Applicant should feel confident to make presentations of their work and engage in broader discussion of topics relevant to the team. 4. Applicant should have professional experience in Risk & Assurance. Strong set of skills around quality assurance Applicant should have strong planning skills and background in project management would be beneficial. 5. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Financial Service or Wealth Management. Applicant should have an understanding of trade processes and be prepared to evaluate such processes. Familiarity with topics including ‘Suitability’, ‘Advice’ and an understanding of Client Profiles. 6. Experience working with Financial Services Regulations. Applicant should be familiar with MiFID 2 and key financial regulation documents. An understanding of, and ability to apply knowledge of Financial Regulation in a professional risk environment is essential to perform this role.
