Role Description The Fixed Equipment Expert is a full-time role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The role focuses on overseeing the performance, reliability, and safety of fixed equipment such as valves, regulators, filters, and associated industrial systems. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing or coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The Fixed Equipment Expert will develop maintenance plans, update technical documentation, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also involves supporting customer-facing teams by providing technical guidance, evaluating equipment performance in the field, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance experience, including preventive maintenance planning and execution.
- Hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment and fixed industrial assets, particularly valves, regulators, and related components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and process-related issues to restore equipment performance quickly.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant technical qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in industrial, energy, or manufacturing environments with an understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.
