Fixture Installer

Apply Description We’re currently looking for highly motivated, self-sufficient individuals that are extremely productive and driven to produce the highest quality results in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere for our retail division. Under general supervision of designated supervisor, to assist in fixture and product installations/revisions and other light construction. Travel is required for this position. The location will change depending on the project. Duties and responsibilities Cut, shape, and assemble wood, composition, and/or plastic sections with shop tools and equipment such as planers, jointers, shaper, routers, sanders, and various power saws. Assemble prepared components for various structures, including chairs, desks, cabinets, bookcases, and paneled doors. Prepare structures for finish applications by planning, shaping and sanding; using hand and power tools. Read and interpret plans, sketches, and shop drawings for milling and fabrication. Prepare materials estimates as directed by supervisor. Determine type and dimensions of wood stock to be used. Maintain and clean equipment and work area. May act as Lead in absence of Lead Carpenter or Supervisor when designated. Perform related duties as assigned. Maintain and clean equipment and work area. Adheres to all health and safety standards and report issues or concerns. Requirements No less than a year of experience as a fixture installation technician. Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment. Ability to read blueprints and translate into fabricated products. Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and background check required. Physical requirements Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, such as lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or 65 pounds without help. Prepared to work in all weather and must be prepared for extreme heat or cold. Ability to complete assigned tasks timely and effectively deal with the public courteously and respectfully.
