To support this mission, Syngenta’s Hiring Team is seeking a Hybrid Fleet Operations Manager , in Budapest, Hungary. Purpose The Fleet Operations Manager (FOM) aims to provide operational and to some extend strategic leadership for Syngenta’s vision and goals for the whole area of fleet operations. The role covers all Syngenta fleet operations and a wide range of responsibilities such as but not limited to supply chain performance & vendor management, budget management, invoicing, PO Management, capital expenditures, compliance, data management and reporting. In conjunction with Indirect Procurement, business functions leaders, fleet suppliers, at site(s) and/or country(es) level, the FOM drives the implementation and good execution of the agreed company fleet strategy and operational excellence. The FOM works closely together, in a collaborative and open-minded spirit, with the fleet suppliers in his/her geography of accountability, to continuously identify improvements to the service provided and areas where savings are made without reducing service quality. Accountability Oversee and manage in compliance with all national / international rules and regulations, the full operative aspect of fleet for all business units in Hungary. Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying current user trends. Ensure compliance with all global / regional strategic fleet initiatives including TCO reduction, continuous improvement and innovation, best practices, compliance, environmental targets. Cooperate with the fleet suppliers, Indirect Procurement team, Syngenta personnel, key internal stakeholders to support the smooth delivery of the fleet operations. Provide consultation to personnel concerning vehicle maintenance, repair, and procurement; respond to inquiries, resolve issues and conflicts. Ensure that all sites and activities meet all internal and external legal, HSEQ, letter of assurance, fiscal and compliance requirements and that all corporate standards are understood and implemented appropriately, report any gaps. Work closely with relevant subject matter experts to ensure that service delivery protocols for the geography of accountability and vehicles are in line with Syngenta and legislative requirements. Manage all reporting requirements and day-to-day business needs with Syngenta fleet-related services and providers: fleet management, leasing, OEM, maintenance/service, fuel, resale, regulations, etc. Maintain the company Fleet Management System (FMS) and all specific databases (sales, lease, registration, inspections, fuel, fines and maintenance of fleet management...) Review the supplier delivery against the key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for the geography of accountability. Lead supplier business review on monthly, quarterly/country level (MBR). Gather and collate data on the KPIs and SLAs and communicate results to the relevant parties. Accountable for delivering fleet related projects (capital and operational) in time, cost and quality within the geography of accountability. Run contract adjustment on a periodical basis. Assume Legal responsibility for fleet operations, where relevant. Implement together with HSE Manager and other key stakeholders (e.g. D&L) and external partners, driver training programs (i.e. driver safety and compliance). Minimum BSc degree in business Experience in fleet management in a multi-national environment Effective and proven English communication skills both written and oral Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts Ability to face and solve unexpected situation / challenges The ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines Comprehensive working knowledge of the contracts management Pro activity in day-to-day management of the fleet Very good level in Excel and Microsoft office Valid driver license.
