Join Stirling Council’s Housing Services team and help deliver high-quality improvements across our service. We’re currently recruiting a Floorlayer with experience of carpet, sheet vinyl & LVT fitting along with wet floor shower installation to join our Capital Investment & Technical Team—a key team responsible for delivering essential property upgrades. From modernising kitchens and bathrooms to major works such as re-furbishing properties and working in new builds, you’ll play an important part in improving homes and communities across Stirling. What you’ll be doing: You’ll support our skilled trades teams across a wide range of projects, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a varied, active role where no two days are the same—you might be assisting on-site, transporting materials, or working directly with colleagues and tenants. What we’re looking for: Practical experience of installing all types of floor coverings including carpets, LVT and sheet vinyl’s including in wet rooms A proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently Good communication skills when working with colleagues, managers, and tenants Experience working of working in peoples homes A full driving licence (Category B/C1) Good level of physical fitness Why join us? Job Description Additional Salary Information Stirling Information The Benefits 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service) Pro-rated for part time roles. Flexible working including hybrid office/work from home arrangements where the role allows .
