Food Range Development and Innovation Manager At BWG, we're on a mission to redefine convenience food. We're looking for a commercially minded, creative and consumer-focused Food Proposition & Innovation Manager to help shape the future of our Food-to-Go offer. This is more than a product development role. You'll be responsible for developing and evolving BWG's end-to-end food proposition across deli, fresh food, grab-and-go and emerging food concepts, creating solutions that delight customers and drive growth for our retail partners. Working at the intersection of consumer insight, innovation and commercial strategy, you'll identify new opportunities, develop future-ready food concepts and create differentiated propositions that strengthen BWG's position as Ireland's leading convenience wholesaler. You'll think beyond the food itself, considering every element of the customer proposition, from the range and menu architecture to branding, packaging, digital ordering, merchandising, service and in-store execution. Key Responsibilities Develop the Food Proposition · Define and evolve BWG's Food-to-Go proposition, ensuring it remains relevant, differentiated and aligned with changing consumer needs. · Develop compelling food propositions that win across breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacking occasions. · Build and manage a rolling innovation pipeline focused on future growth opportunities. · Champion healthier food solutions and emerging consumer trends. · Shape the future vision for BWG's convenience food offer by identifying new opportunities and translating them into scalable concepts. Innovation & Concept Development · Lead the development of new food concepts from idea generation through pilot, refinement and national rollout. · Identify emerging food trends, ingredients, formats and technologies that create competitive advantage. · Build strategic partnerships with suppliers to develop innovative and commercially successful concepts. · Develop robust commercial business cases to support investment in new propositions. · Continually review the market, competitors and global food trends to ensure BWG remains at the forefront of convenience food innovation. Product Development, Customer Experience & Commercial Delivery · Lead hands-on product development, benchmarking and tasting sessions. · Work closely with supplier partners to develop, refine and optimise products through an iterative development process. · Conduct product reviews, competitor benchmarking and market evaluations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. · Refine recipes, ingredients, packaging and formats, balancing customer appeal, operational simplicity and commercial viability. · Design complete food propositions, including product range, branding, packaging, digital ordering, menu architecture, merchandising, service experience and in-store execution. · Work collaboratively with Commercial, Retail Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to launch new propositions. · Measure commercial performance, customer feedback and retailer adoption, using insights to continuously improve the proposition.
