This is a fully remote role but the person in this role should ideally be based in South Africa. About Sendmarc We are a cyber security company on a mission to make the internet a safer place. We do it through an international email-authentication standard called DMARC building the tooling and services that let organisations protect their staff, customers, suppliers, and the wider world from email spoofing and impersonation attacks on their domains. We are fully remote. Most of our builders work out of South Africa, with sales teams across the Netherlands, the US, Latin America, Australia and the UK. The role This is a forward deployed role. You work shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who own the outcome marketing, sales, revops and partnerships understand their problem first-hand, and ship something useful fast. Their problems are your brief. Your anchor product is sendmarc.com and the SEO systems behind it. From there you extend outward: customer-facing tools and embeddable widgets that create qualified demand, internal tooling that gives the go-to-market team leverage, and automation that removes manual work wherever you find it. You set and execute your own roadmap alongside the Chief Innovation Officer, working in short loops against real usage rather than long specifications. You find the friction, propose the build, ship it, instrument it, and improve it. You are not waiting for a backlog to be handed to you. What you'll own Website & SEO. Own sendmarc.com as a product now the rebuild is largely done - technical SEO, Core Web Vitals and page performance, the page-authoring workflow, and real, measurable growth in organic traffic and inbound leads. A growth-tooling ecosystem. Design, ship and iterate customer-facing tools and embeddable widgets from domain analysis and spoofability checks through to conversational assistants. Each one instrumented, each one tied to demand generation. Automation & enablement. Automate the manual work in SEO, content and go-to-market, and give marketing, sales and revops leverage they can feel supporting a fast content cadence and equivalent wins across the team. Deployment velocity & reliability. Own CI/CD and release quality across the products you touch: pipelines that fail loudly and visibly, deploys measured in minutes, and monitoring that catches breakage before a stakeholder does. AI-native delivery. Build with agents and AI tooling so one engineer ships like several. Establish the reusable patterns, MCP and API integrations, and workflows the rest of the team can adopt. And a principle that runs through all of it: every tool you ship should make the next one cheaper to build — shared components, shared patterns, shared infrastructure. You'll thrive here if you are A generalist by instinct. Comfortable moving between a marketing site, a customer-facing tool, an internal dashboard and a data integration in the same week. Depth where it matters, range everywhere else. Product-minded. You turn a conversation with a stakeholder into a working prototype fast, then sharpen it against real usage. You ask about the problem before agreeing to the solution. Close to the customer. You enjoy sitting with the people who actually use the thing you build. AI-fluent. You build with AI tools, not just for AI using them to accelerate both output and ideation. Self-directed. Minimal specs, high initiative, short iteration cycles, and the judgement to decide without asking. Deployment-literate. You own environments, pipelines and release process not only application code. The kind of tech you know Exact experience with our stack is not required — comfort in an equivalent modern stack is. For context, our website today runs on React with TanStack Router, Vite, Nitro handler-mode streaming SSR, Tailwind CSS v4 and TypeScript, deployed as Docker images to Azure ACR and delivered by Flux and Kustomize on Kubernetes. Modern web stack. Fluent in a modern, typed web stack, able to reason about SSR, routing, bundling and performance. CI/CD. Comfortable with pipelines, containers, automated testing, monitoring and alerting. Kubernetes exposure is a strong plus. Automation & integration. APIs, webhooks, scheduled jobs, and the glue between CRM, analytics, search-data providers and internal services. SEO & analytics. Technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, Search Console and keyword data, and attribution through to pipeline. AI development. Proficient with AI IDEs such as Claude Code and Cursor, and experienced building with MCPs, agents and LLM APIs. Marketing & revenue tech. Useful background in CRM, analytics and campaign tooling, so what you build lands inside the workflows the team already uses. How we work We work in the open — showing work early and publishing the reasoning behind decisions. Bias to action and delivery. Fast iteration over perfection. Curious and continuously learning about AI and new development tools. Respect for design and marketing goals, held alongside a high technical bar. Comfortable with ambiguity — and comfortable being the person who decides. What this role is not A ticket-taker working through someone else’s backlog. A pure frontend role, or a pure marketing role — it sits deliberately between the two. A single-surface job. The website is the anchor, not the boundary. Legacy CMS maintenance. We have moved to a modern stack and modern workflows. If you like the sound of owning real outcomes end-to-end, working close to the people you build for, and shipping fast with the best AI tooling available we’d love to hear from you.
