About Hyground

Hyground builds an AI SRE agent that investigates production incidents and automates operations tasks alongside engineering teams. It runs inside the customer's infrastructure and is built for organisations with strict security and data requirements. We are a 16-person team backed by a €3M pre-seed round.

The role

Every customer environment is different, so making Hyground work well is engineering, not onboarding. You deploy, adapt, debug, and extend the product inside customer infrastructure, working directly with their engineers and implementation partners, from first evaluation through independent production use.

You are part of the engineering team. You work hand-in-hand with an Account Executive: they own the commercial side, you own the technical side and the relationship with the customer's engineering team. You bring what you learn in the field back into the product.

What you will do

• Deploy and adapt Hyground with customer engineers and implementation partners to automate their operations work.
• Debug problems across unfamiliar infrastructure, integrations, and engineering systems.
• Evaluate requested solutions, find the underlying problem, and drive to a decision on what belongs in the product.
• Design and ship product improvements based on requirements and patterns you see across customers.
• Get customer teams to the point where Hyground is part of their daily operations without you in the loop.
• Run technical workshops to identify valuable use cases, define what success looks like, and measure it.

What you bring

• 5+ years experience as a senior-level backend, platform, or infrastructure engineer, including cloud-native and distributed systems on Kubernetes.
• You can drop into an unfamiliar environment, diagnose it, and ship production-quality software.
• You have solved technical problems directly with customers, or you want that to be the core of your job. You can lead those conversations, not just attend them.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and a working understanding of how they fail in production.
• Professional fluency in German and English, residence in Germany, and willingness to travel regularly to customers across the DACH region.

How we work

We work remotely within Germany and meet in person for several days every six weeks. You have substantial autonomy over how you solve customer problems; we expect you to balance immediate customer needs against the product's long-term direction. On-call is not part of this role today.
