Social Worker (Fostering Recruitment Team) | 11112 | Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Fixed Term Contact for Six Months | 37 hours per week | £41,177 to £43,149 per annum | Grade J | Countywide We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Level 2 Social Worker to join our supportive and motivated Recruitment team within Norfolk Fostering Service. This role plays a key part in increasing the number of approved foster carers for Norfolk by recruiting and assessing new applicants, including agency foster carers wishing to transfer to our service. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering opportunities to: Assess new fostering applicants Present assessments to Fostering Panel Occasionally deliver preparation training Sometimes contribute to foster carer recruitment activities You will need strong written and analytical assessment skills, with experience of safeguarding and working with in care children, and an understanding of the issues they face. You must be able to work efficiently and to a high standard, producing CoramBAAF Form F Fostering Assessments and presenting these to the Norfolk Fostering Panel within agreed timescales. We also include Private Fostering within the team. We are based at County Hall, operating as a countywide service across Norfolk. The role includes hybrid working, with most work undertaken from home and occasional office attendance. As such, candidates must have reliable broadband connectivity and access to a reliable vehicle.
